Rest In Peace

It's a sad sad day. Well technically Thursday and Tuesday were sad days.

Let's start with Tuesday...
Amongst the anticipation and excitement of November 4th, Michael Crichton died at age 66 in an LA area hospital from cancer. Author of many sweet sci-fi books and movies (Jurassic Park, Westworld, Andromeda Strain), creator of excellent, if only in the late '90's, must see TV (ER), and serial monogamist (he had 5 wives!, though less impressively not all at the same time), M.C. was a talented guy. Crichton gave speeches about the existence of UFO's and ET's, which makes me love him, and was an avid global warming and second hand smoke denier, which makes me think he might have been a republican kook. But what really matters is that this guy was super rad and will be missed.
Here's the trailer for Westworld. You should see it. It's like Jurassic Park with robot cowboys instead of Dinosaurs.

Moving on to Thursday...
Eric has informed me that King of the Hill has been CANCELED. So sad. I don't care what anyone says, that show is pure gold. "Then why did it get canceled?" you ask, because the geniuses at FOX think it would be a better idea to show The Family Guy and American Dad along with a new Family Guy spin off called The Cleveland Show. Dumb, dumb, and dumb. Fuck it. Clearly there is no God, and if there is, he, as Eric pointed out, has shitty taste in animation. Rest in peace my sweet sweet King of the Hill. I'm more sad about this than I will be when they cancel The Simpsons.
Here's a little something for your eyes and ears...

*update: Word on the street is tha ABC has it's eye on King of the Hill. Oh yea! Thanks Steve...
